Today I am grateful...
- for daily hugs
- for the addition to the blogosphere of Matt, another Lambda blogger
- that at 3:30 this morning, I finally got Bunny to pee outside in the rain. He didn't like it at all and was so skeptical, but he finally gave in. Then he got wrapped up in a towel to get dried off. I stayed up for a bit, went back to sleep and dreamt of my Mom's parents for the first time ever, in their high rise apartment in Chicago filled with art deco tchotchkes--all of museum quality. They never lived outside of Arkansas. Go figure.
- that I can get a late start on today and be perfectly calm with that fact
- that I can make a great cup of coffee at home
...other person's disposition, whether it's sour or sweet, should have nothing to do with our being what we want to be. In time, we begin to learn that this attitude always comes back to us in the form of greater peace and happiness. And what's great about it is that it's always under our direct control. ~Walk in Dry Places

Thank you Scott! I appreciate the encouragement! I find that writing things down really helps sort things out in my mind....
I really like your blog. Bunny is so cute I can hardly stand it....and thanks for the mention on today's post. :)
It sounds like you'all down there have great recovery at the Lambda. For me it is important to see that recovery can be fun in unity -- you all help me to see this. Yes recovery is hard work but if that is all it was then where is the hope?
My old lady friend Olive has a really hard time taking care of her personal business in the rain. She has sympathy for Bunny.
OMG Scott I love this" ...other person's disposition, whether it's sour or sweet, should have nothing to do with our being what we want to be. Geeeez!!
Chicago is now in Arkansas.
Either it's really growing OR the politician's are really doing some gerrymandering.
About our attitudes being under our control - in general, and usually to a large extent, yes. But I've learned to be cautious with the word, "always..."
Thanks for the reminder. I get to chose my disposition for the day!
