IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Two things an alcoholic doesn't like; The way things are...and change. - Anon.

Today I am grateful...
  • that Daily Piglet directed me to The Peevery. Get in touch with your inner bitch or your inner cocksucker by visiting.
  • for the great chat R and I had over dinner
  • that J sold another piano
  • for the relationships between black and white, and gray
  • for the unlimited amount of food we can have just by visiting a grocery store. But yesterday while in the local upscale Kroger I was horrified to see TV screens in the aisles airing the Grocery Channel. The world in turning into a Disneyland Times Square. That's just yuk.

Service gladly rendered, obligations squarely met, troubles well accepted or solved with God's help, the knowledge that at home or in the world outside we are partners in a common effort, the fact that in God's sight all human beings are important, the proof that love freely given brings a full return, the certainty that we are no longer isolated and alone in self-constructed prisons, the surety that we can fit and belong in God's scheme of things--these are the satisfactions of right living for which no pomp and circumstance, no heap of material possessions, could possibly be substitutes. ~12 & 12, p.124 (This is one of my absolute favorite passages in the AA literature.)

I didn't know there was a Grocery Channel. Is it next to the Weight Watchers Channel?

You seem very well-rounded, are you real? Or this a computer generated blog? Something about your blog is beaming peaceful, calm energy to me. I need a lot of that :)
