IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

02.07.06

But only a cry from the heart, a trusting cry, ever pierces that darkness and reaches to the divine ear of God.

Today I am grateful...

  • that Jim and I got the old sofa to the street for heavy trash pick-up
  • for my new sofa, thanks Mary
  • that Chester has a new playmate, Astro
  • that the end of the tunnel is no longer dark
  • to have something to smile about

I pray that the divine power of God will help my human weakness. I pray that my prayer may reach through the darkness to the ear of God.

quotes from Twenty-Four Hours a Day

The poem isn't finished.

That is such a nice thing to say about Chester and Astro. I hope Barbara is okay. It just takes time.

Your comment about Chester and Astro brought a smile to my face, too. You've an uncommon and touching perspective...

I hear you on heavy trash pick up! I am always amazed when I have the right day and they actually take it.
