IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

01.22.06

We rejoice in living the life we deserve. We learn to love ourselves and others. We have been granted a wonderful life.

There is much to discover and the road has many sights, some are distracting and some are life confirming. Last night as Boston and I sat on the patio of Hollywood Coffee Shop and all the gay boys and their friends were doing their own things that are pertinent to their lives, Boston and I talked of things mystical and healing.

To experience such trust with another is deeply gratifying to me. To watch the world hum, to see so many physical beings carrying around something truly divine--whether they realize it or not--fascinates me when I can be in a calm enough place to just sit and observe.

A cool January night spent with a companion on the recovery road is in itself an expression of gratitude. A surrendered tear showed, as I watched it find its path down a cheek, something truly surrendered.
