Today I am grateful...
- to have been out in the beautiful weather yesterday
- that WH and I were able to do some work for DS
- for the photographic evidence of someone's past, and dinner plates with portraits of drag queens (for real)
- that I could not care less that Astroworld is closing
- to have witnessed a lot of change since I got sober, a lot of change inside me. One thing that does not change is that the fellowship of AA is always there, always available to keep me sober.
- that Boy Girl is back from her New Year in Paris and will join us for dinner tonight
- that I could complain but it wouldn't do me any good
"When you stand outside a room where a group of Alcoholics Anonymous is meeting, the most frequent sound you hear is laughter. Mellow laughter, which can come only from people who have looked destruction and catastrophe in the face, not once but continuously over long years, and now are free and unafraid. The laughter, in short, of people who hold God's hand and feel safe." c. Letter to a Woman Alcoholic (A.A. Pamphlet P-14) - page 13
