I've never learned anything while I was talking. --Larry King

Today I am grateful...
  • for counting down 11 days
  • that my Living Will is done, it just has to be signed and copies made
  • that a head held high can improve one's posture
  • for phychedelic music
  • that I never used psychedelics
  • for the unpleasant feeling watching 'Intervention' last night, that drink was very attractive for a few seconds
  • that today I have the recognition that I have choices
The written word can be erased - not so with the spoken word. --Unknown

We realize now that we were excessively self-centered, chiefly concerned about our feelings, our problems, other people's reactions to us, and our own past and future. Therefore, trying to get into communication with and to help other people is a recovery measure for us, because it helps take us out of ourselves. Trying to heal ourselves by helping others works, even when it is an insincere gesture. Try it some time. --Living Sober, p. 85

By your own admission, your mind was not in the best of places yesterday. Maybe that's why that drink looked enticing.
But today is a new day. Look for Doris.
