IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

We cannot live for ourselves alone. Our lives are connected by a thousand invisible threads, and along these sympathetic fibers, our actions run as causes and return to us as results.-Herman Melville

Today I am grateful...
  • for the countdown...14 days
  • for the privilege of leading the noon meeting today
  • for the privilege of having God's grace to guide me
  • for fun stuff sent by JJ
  • that I may wander through this world today feeling safe and secure
  • that a year ago I started smoking cessation research, today I am a non-smoker of 127 days
  • that today I bow my head to my father who would have been 83 today

I'm doing what I think I was put on this earth to do. And I'm really grateful to have something that I'm passionate about and that I think is profoundly important.-Marian Wright Edelman

Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profundity. Kindness in giving creates love.-Lao-Tse

The Wright Edelman quote could just as easily been created by Scott Woodard.

Happy Birthday to our Dad.....I miss him greatly. I was thinking he would have been 84 but then you always did remember Mom and Dad's b-day years better than me. It touches my heart to hear you speak of him with such warmth. You have come a long way So and I am so very proud of you. Just a few more days to celebrate your 2 years. What a wonderful thing. Nice going on the nonsmoker item. I am proud to be a member of that team also! Almost 2 months for me.

I love you,

So

Go beyond the ideas of succeeding and failing - these are the judgements. Stay in the process and allow God to handle the details.
