And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. --Kahlil Gibran

Today I am grateful...
  • for an afternoon of design and Renaissance music
  • that I asked to have the awareness today that I walk in companionship with my Higher Power
  • for Jim's chicken and dumplings on a cool autumn night
  • for 'My Name is Earl', like a Cohen brother's film in 30 minutes
  • for growing trust
  • for prayers for the families of the 2000 American dead in Iraq and for those injured
  • for prayers for the families of the unknown number of Iraqi dead and injured
  • for hope that one day the dollar and religion will stop being killing forces

It's amazing how well I feel when I'm not thinking about myself. --Bob Y

God can pick sense out of a confused prayer. ~Richard Sibbes

God has editing rights over our prayers. He will...edit them, correct them, bring them in line with His will and then hand them back to us to be resubmitted. ~Stephen Crotts

Nice list, Scott. I was saddened by the 2,000th dead American soldier recently.

'It's amazing how well I feel when I am not thinking about myself.' I needed to see those words in black and white.

Your daily gratitude list truly lights up so many of our lives, Scott. I am grateful that I found your blog.

Be well, my friend.

I really like those last two quotes. Barbara's comment really helped the other one sink in. Thanks.
