We are so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that in the end we become disguised to ourselves. ~François Duc de La Rochefoucauld

Today I am grateful...
  • to be back on schedule last night
  • that today I need only push myself a little to gain a lot
  • that I don't like to sniff shoes
  • for relieved anxiety as the result of sharing
  • that if my higher power brings me to something, it means I have been given the grace to make it through it
  • that the hope, strength and experience of so many have invaded my consciousness
  • that our fellowship is a mutual admiration society, how can I not admire you?

Serenity isn't freedom from the storm, but peace within the storm. --Unknown

Shan, I am doing well. Have some emotional bumps along the way, but that is to be expected. I have a lot of peace knowing that as a responsible pet owner I did the right thing.

I know you do... we have a 17 yr old chow, who is going blind, and is pretty much deaf. He has arthtitis and has a hard time getting up, he doesnt think he is an old man. He stays outside most of the time and we bring him in at night, he has accidnets sometimes, just because he is older... he never used to do that...He is soo wonderful, and has been with my husband the whole 17 yrs. But my husband and I have talked about putting him down, before he gets too bad, it is hard to do, but I think its the right thing to do... we havent made any plans, as it hurts us... reading about Chester and you always made me smile... my thoughts are with you.
