IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

10.03.05

We are taught to consult spiritual principles, not our selfish desires, in making our decisions. We are taught to seek guidance from a Higher Power, one with a larger vision of things than our own. In doing this, we find our lives meshing more and more easily with the order of things around us. No longer do we exclude ourselves from the flow of life; we become a part of it, and discover the fullness of what recovery has to offer.

Today I am grateful...
  • that today I do not wonder why I am where I am
  • that I have acceptance regarding the choices I have made
  • that today, before I got them, I thanked my Higher Power for giving me the answers
  • for a previously unrecognized feisty spirit--otherwise I would have given up a long time ago
  • for my own aesthetic
  • for coffee and conversation with an ex-coworker whose spirit meshes nicely with mine
  • that today I will have the experience of the WE of the program again

I love ACCEPTANCE more and more each day.

It's about what is, not what is not.

Dave gives you all the answers? Geez! Then again every Christmas my father use to say wish me a happy birthday because he believed he was Jesus Christ.

Dave, (higher powered) and I do, the rest have to survive without our presence!

I am grateful for your daily insights, Scott W!

Thank you for the daily lists.

Love to Chester too...

On a personal note, I am grateful that I can take action and know that the thinking will follow in time!
