Today I am grateful...
- to have survived this past surrealistic weekend
- to have rested last night. I was so unbelievably tired last night, the minimal sleep I had gotten over the past few days really caught up with me. I let Chester sleep in his crate so I could rest undisturbed. Today I will take things easy and let my spirit catch up.
- to wonder why so many people are so gestular with their hands while speaking
- to have had the company of Randall and Jim here in my tiny space so they could stay cool and wait for the electricity to be turned on. Their neighbor hunted down a Center Point Energy truck and begged them to help and they did late afternoon.
- that there were some restaurants open yesterday
- that today grocery stores should be back to normal
Thank all of you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. They were all felt as all of us dealt with the situation as best we could.

I am greatful that you are alright as well, and to have found you as a friend.
I am grateful that I did not let my fear consume my thinking yesterday, and am able to listen to what people think rather than what my head tells me. Just wanted to share that with you.
