Today i am grateful...
that I was able to nurse Chester (after he fell and was lying on the bathroom floor for I don't know how long), he was unable to stand on his left front leg at first, then standing unsteadily. We had a restless night but he finally calmed down and slept. Today I will get a new crate for him to stay in while I am not here. I can't bear the thought of him falling again and lying there for hours unable to get up.
- for the almost seventeen years Chester and I have had together
- for the vet telling me that his blindness was worse on me than on him, sight being the third most important sense to dogs
- for my own, made-to-order program of recovery
- for prayers for DG

Yes, prayers especially for Doughgirl. It is always good to be reminded how life can so much worse than I think I have it.
OOOH chester is adorable... we ar getting a jack russell soon.. I will pray for him to be comfortable and happy

I saw what you wrote on Barbara of California's blog and it was very nice. Then I came here and read about Chester and just wanted to wish you well with him. He's pretty old, and it's obvious that you love him very much and are committed to taking good care of him. I just wanted to say hello and thanks for being a good dog dad.
