Today I am grateful...

• that I am here and you are there, that means we are in the places we are supposed to be, right now
• for all those who participated in the candle light vigil last night
• for the resurgence of the peace sign
• for the freedom to voice my opinion
• for a Cadillac tour of Southwest Houston yesterday with a recovery friend
• for the recognition that sometimes I still judge a book by its cover and asking to have that kind of thinking removed
• that my need to connect with a higher power daily is met
• for safe passages through life's difficult portals
• for a particular baseball cap wearing spiritual brother
