IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Today I am grateful...
  • to have unbunched Pat's drawers yet again
  • for the hateful topic of yesterday's meeting: expectations of others
  • that during that hateful meeting someone said 'I will bring coffee to someone in bed, not because I love them, but because I think that's what they should be doing for me'. That was my truth spoken aloud. It hurt because that was my old behavior. Today I will do for another and most of the time I will not expect anything in return or do so for ulterior motives. This falls into the defects of character stuff that I ask daily to have removed.
  • for some nice words from another recovery blogger
  • that I sold a painting to JJ!
  • that tonight I will be attending a rally/vigil to support Cindy Sheehan and to protest the war in Iraq
  • that prayers for honesty burn through the need for validation
  • for the party at Trudging's

I have a difficult time enough working my own program, and doing for others without expectation.

Live and learn.

Thanks for the post about the vigil tonight. I hope it goes well.

I have written letters, but am preoccupied with Israel today and unable to sleep.

Have a good day.

Cyberparties are good but can be dangerous to Kaftan's

Pat, that is a valid point. Agreed upon expectations would make a lot of sense. The point for me today is to not have unhealthy expectations.
