IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

From "The Three Legacies of A.A.:"

"Other societies have to have law and force and sanction and punishment, administered by authorized people. Happily for us, we found that we need no human authority whatever. We have two authorities which are far more effective. One is benign, the other malign. There is God, our Father, who very simply says, 'I am waiting for you to do my will.' The other authority is named John Barleycorn [alcohol], and he says, 'You had better do God's will or I will kill you.'"

Today I am grateful...
  • that I am not perfect. That, my friends, is too big a responsibility.
  • that instead, I can strive for progress.
  • that every day I do not stay stagnant and move forward, is progress.
  • to be in awe of life.
  • that God and I both have a sense of humor.
  • that I was given creative talents.
  • for Lambda Center, the safest place I know.

You may not always know what is right but you sure know what is wrong. Anytime you have to give excuses for why you do what you do, it’s wrong.
If I have to explain or excuse it, then I can do without it.

Yes. One of my new lines of thought is ...

If I have to think twice about doing something, it's probably the wrong thing to do. At the very least, there's a better way than what I am thinking.
