IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Today I am grateful...
  • that with each day of sobriety something is added to my sobriety tool kit
  • for Pat's story at the nooner yesterday...highly entertaining
  • for retreads, of which I am one
  • for everything in moderation
  • for the release of some of the stuff that's been stored away in that tiny, locked drawer
  • for every day that passes, adding to my sober history
  • that I do not have to agree with everyone, in fact I can't
  • that today will unfold as it is meant to and I can be comfortable with letting that happen

Unfortunately, moderation has never been a word in my dictionary. It's only recently entered my voacabulary. But I don't know whether it's a noun, verb or adjective.

Love your positive outlook -- am hoping some of it will rub off onto me, hee hee!

BTW, I was looking at one of your posts from a few days ago, in which you said you are thankful for dogs' smiles. I saw a documentary recently called "Why Dogs Smile and Chimpanzees Cry." I highly recommend it!

Isn't it strange. I always think you agree with me.

I am grateful I can come read your gratitude list when my addictive voice is giving me a hard time.

Thanks for reminding me that today is to unfold as it is meant to be, and I am to accept it as the way it should be.

I needed to hear your words today, scott. Thanks for the great reminder.
