At Dave's suggestion I read some current entries on Roots Radical's blog. He is approaching his one year anniversary being sober. Following is excerpted from an entry, it is right on the mark.
It was my homegroup last night. A packed meeting. I was desperately sorry to hear of a fella who came to the rooms at about the same time as me was drinking again. In some ways I'm grateful to him because he's taking that drink for me, so I don't have to. I guess he just hasn't had enough yet.
That's some powerful stuff if you ask me.
