So many good things from...

moo

cows.

Last night Jim was grilling the most glorious New York strip steaks which got me to thinking about cows. How they provide we humans with the most delicious things. All kinds of red meat cuts, milk, cream, butter, cheese, yogurt, sour cream, ice cream, sherbet (it's not sherbeRt), and leather goods to protect our bodies and to store stuff in. Really an all purpose animal. Sorry if that doesn't sit well with vegans, but I love red meat and all the other things the cow gives us.

Now you are probably thinking of the holy cows in India, and that the reason they are sacred is that people think they might be a reincarnated relative. But the truth is they consider this animal sacred because for millenniums the cow sustained life for the Indian people. They were the power that plowed the fields, and gave sustenance through their milk. So Elsie isn't someone's grandmother. But I had a grandmother named Elsie and she was actually married to Elmer. At least they didn't name my mother Daisy. Charles Elsie Gregory married Elmer Bert Ross and begat Betty Jo Ross who married Steven Oscar Woodard and begat myself.

Elmer probably liked horses instead of cows and thus begat GLUE.
