Edie cake
Edie blows out the candles on her cake

It was actually a double duty cake. Not only was it Edie's 79th birthday but it was her and John's 19th wedding anniversary. We brought the equipment to fry a turkey, something that was supposed to happen when we were there for Christmas. It took four gallons of peanut oil to fry it and the results were excellent. It was delicious, and Edie make cornbread dressing with giblet gravy. Also on the table was cranberry sauce and brussel sprouts. Steve and Sharon joined us for dinner and it was warm and friendly.

Later we watched Fahrenheit 911 and City Slickers. It was a quiet weekend and we were pleased to be there to celebrate a great lady's birthday.
