IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

Today I am grateful...
  • that I can have a thought, have it vanish into thin air, and let it go
  • for Jason's quirky and brilliant mind and that he led yesterday's meeting
  • that a young woman, Amber, can astound me with her wisdom and insights
  • that everyday I am more willing to be myself
  • that I am prone to not believe everything I hear, unless it's your experience, strength and hope
  • that I can make the biggest difference in my life
  • for the glorious chocolate brownie sundaes Jim made last night, which left me with a food hangover this morning
  • to have a fairly simple lifestyle and have more than I need
  • to have run into someone who frequented Delmonico's restaurant when I was working there, there may be more on this later
  • that no matter what happens today, I am pretty sure it will be a better day than any of the days during my drinking career

I had many hundreds of good days when I drank. Many more than I had bad days. There can be bad days in sobriety too and this is one of them for me. But at least today, I know that This Too Shall Pass.
