What worries you, masters you. ~Haddon W. Robinson
Today I am grateful...
- for going to bed at a reasonable hour and getting some good rest
- not to mention, or rather to mention, the two naps yesterday
- for freedom from worry. I do not worry nearly as much as I used to before my life changed due to the remarkable program of Alcoholics Anonymous.
- that gratitude is self-propelling
- that I am beginning to find equipoise in thought and action
- that there are some things I will never know or understand
Though it is traditional that our Fellowship may not coerce anyone, let us not suppose even for an instant that we are not under constraint. Indeed, we are under enormous coercion--the kind that comes in bottle. Our former tyrant, King Alcohol, always stands ready again to clutch us to him. "Therefore, freedom from alcohol is the great 'must' that has to be achieved, else we go mad or die." ~Bill W

An interesting choice of word.
Two naps? Someone probably went without a nap, because you took more than your share. I took a nap, so it wasn't me.
I left a comment under yesterday's post about how King A tried to coerce me without success. It pays to remember steps one through three every day.
Gratitude is self-propelling. Love that thought. Funny, though, when I read it I heard the sound effect of the hovercar from The Jetsons!
that gratitude is self-propelling -- that's cool!
