IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU SAID IN YOUR LIFE WAS "THANK YOU", THAT WOULD SUFFICE. ~Meister Eckhart

But these precious friends did far more than supply me with their professional skills. I learned that I could go to them with any problem whatever. Their wisdom and their integrity were mine for the asking. Many of my dearest A.A. friends have stood with me in exactly this same relation. Oftentimes they could help where others could not, simply because they were AAs. ~Bill Wilson

Today I am grateful...
  • that I have learned to live with an attitude of gratitude. It has totally changed my life. It has shown me if I do what I am shown as the next right thing (or the next loving thing, as my sponsor says), maintain a solid spiritual connection, go to meetings and offer help--this will sow the seeds of faith--and that faith grows into a trust that all is well, as it should be, and that I will be cared for.
  • that faith + trust = serenity
  • for the dream I had this morning which in I was cocky and arrogant (and could have but did not drink). That shows me two characteristics that are dangerous behavior for me.
  • that even though I am still have a bit of residual vertigo from yesterdays too quick traverse across the office in my wheeled chair, I am recovering nicely
  • that it is a great Sunday to not drink

The promise of God is that you are His son. Her offspring. Its likeness. His equal. Ah...here is where you get hung up. You can accept “His son,” “offspring,” “likeness,” but you recoil at being called “His equal.” It is too much to accept. Too much bigness, too much wonderment—too much responsibility. For if you are God’s equal, that means nothing is being done to you—and all things are created by you. There can be no more victims and no more villains—only outcomes of your thought about a thing. ~Conversations with God

Thanks Scott -- what a great passage to share from "Conversations". It really is a (the 2nd most?) extraordinary book.

God is love. Our role is but to fulfill His will as the physical manifestation of that love.

We can do that.

Peace

Scott I do the same and the power is ultimate and more satisfying than doing all the prayers, visiting temples & churches. I do visit sometimes temples that pulls me of divine intervention.
